George Anastase Michaelides’ extensive collection of Egyptian and other antiquities was dispersed among a number of institutions, with the demotic papyri going to the British Museum (BM) and the Cambridge University Library (CUL). During his lifetime Michaelides had made his collection available to scholars and some of the demotic material had been published. These texts are often cited by the publication in which they appeared rather than where they are now kept. This article provides a list of these earlier publications with their current BM and CUL (and Trismegistos) numbers, as well as what is known about the location of the other demotic material from his collection.
